If the scale does not recognize the user, it will vibrate. Tapping it lightly with your bare, dry foot will allow you to choose the user. If you don't step on or stop stepping on the scale for over 3 seconds, the user will be confirmed, and the data will be attributed to that user. Remember to place the scale on a flat, hard surface.
